Pandemic Players Zoom Into Fall with Austin Pendleton: The Schoolhouse Theater’s Pandemic Players continue their weekly (impromptu) ZOOM play readings into the Fall.
First up is Tennesee Wiliams’ Vieux Carreé – a semi-autobiographical play about his life as a young writer living in a seedy boarding house in New Orleans’ French Quarter. And the people he befriends including a manipulative landlord, a bouncer at a strip club, a gay orgiastic photographer and a society lady dying of leukemia and he drug addicted sexually ambiguous lover. YOWZA! See it on Friday, September 4 @ 1pm.

Actor/Director Pendleton debuted on Broadway as Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, won a Drama Desk Award for his performance in The Last Sweet Days of Isaac, and performed with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline in Mother Courage and Her Children at The Public Theatre in 2006. He received a Tony-nom in Directing for Little Foxes starring Elizabeth Taylor and Maureen Stapleton. His credits on the big screen are prolific and include Catch 22, The Muppet Movie, My Cousin Vinny, A Beautiful Mind, Finding Nemo and perhaps most famously he was the mysterious Marty in Christmas With the Kranks.
