Quaker Graveyard Tour
Gray Williams, Town Historian and noted author, brings to ‘life’ the history of the Quaker community in New Castle. This tour will take you to the graveyard, adjacent to the original Friends Meeting House, c.1763. The Meeting House served as a temporary ‘hospital’ for some of Washington’s soldiers who were wounded in the Battle of White Plains in October ,1776.
