Railroad Earth featuring Peter Rowan performing Old & In the Way @ The Capitol Theatre: Leader of the 1960’s Bluegrass Revival and frontman for Old & In the Way that featured David Grisman, Jerry Garcia and Vassar Clements joins Railroad Earth. Together they will perform music from Old & In The Way’s repertoire including “Midnight Moonlight”, “Land of the Navajo”, New Riders of the Purple Sage’s “Panama Red” and The Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses”.
Railroad Earth is a third-generation Bluegrass inspired Rock & Roll Jamband, lead by Todd Sheaffer, The Grateful Dead. They debuted in 2001 at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. They have since released seven critically acclaimed albums. Their name is taken from Jack Kerouac’s prose poem October in the Railroad Earth.
