Ridgefield Playhouse Outdoors: Mike Birbiglia: The Ridgefield Playhouse Outdoors continues in September with comedian Mike Birbiglia – the host of he weekly podcast, Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out. You can find his most recent shows on Netflix – he New One, Thank God for Jokes, and My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.

As an actor Birbiglia plays Danny Pearson on Orange Is the New Black and Oscar Langstraat on Showtime’s Billions. He has appeared on Inside Amy Schumer, Girls and Broad City, and in the films Trainwreck, The Fault in Our Stars, and Popstar.

His first book, “Sleepwalk With Me and Other Painfully True Stories,” was a New York Times bestseller, and he is the author of the new book, “The New One: Painfully True Stories from a Reluctant Dad.”

Mike will be joined by comic SAM JAY, an Emmy Nominated Writer for Saturday Night Live. Sam’s Netflix one-hour special, 3 In The Morning premiered on Netflix August 4, 2020 to rave reviews. The New York Times called Sam “One of the most exciting provocateurs in comedy right now” and Fast Company said “3 In The Morning is a sumptuous feast of a stand-up special.” Previously, Sam was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2018.
