Joey Spallina with JT and the Tall Boys return to The Heights at Brother Vic’s Music Lounge in South Salem (Vista), to benefit the Westchester Oratorio Society. Joe Spallina, a WOS singer and former Westchester rocker teams with his brother, who toured with Chubby Checker, and his son Joey, a musician who has performed with Reba McEntire. An “all-access pass” to the event is $75 per person and includes a buffet dinner and cash bar. Founded in South Salem, the Society, a 501(c)(3) corporation now in its 22nd Season, rehearses on Tuesday evenings in Katonah. The organization is dedicated to performing choral masterworks with professional soloists and orchestras for audiences in northern Westchester and surrounding areas, and has also performed in such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
On Saturday evening November 23, 2019 the Society will present a concert entitled “Meeting the Masters” at Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco featuring works by J.S. Bach and W.A. Mozart. Sunday evening, December 8 WOS will return to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Somers, NY to present a “Scratch” “Messiah” (sing-along with professional soloists). The group’s Spring Concert on Sunday afternoon May 3, 2020 will feature Bach’s “Mass in B minor.”
