Sanctuary Series Fei-Fei in South Salem: A winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition, Fei-Fei made her Carnegie hall debut in 2019. Fei-Fei’s program entitled “The Art of Storytelling” features Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy and Liszt. Our post recital Artist Reception will feature a champagne toast for Mother’s Day.
Praised for her “bountiful gifts and passionate immersion into the music she touches” (The Plain Dealer), Fei-Fei is a winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition and a top finalist at the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. 2019 saw her Carnegie Hall debut and a tour in Spain. Her current concert schedule brings her from coast-to-coast in the United States and throughout her native China as she continues to build a reputation for poetic interpretations, charming audiences with her “passion, piquancy and tenderness” and “winning stage presence” (Dallas Morning News).

The Sanctuary Series enters it’s sixth year at the South Salem Presbyterian Church. Headed by Artistic Director Jane Newman and Chaired by Dean Travalino was designed to bring exceptional keyboard performances to the heart of the historic hamlet of South Salem.
In past years, The Sanctuary Series has presented renowned pianist Peter Serkin, a Grammy Award-winner at 19 who has collaborated with Yo Yo Ma; the 2016 International Classical Music Award-winner, Dmitry Levkovich; renowned cellist for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center – Carter Brey; Grammy-nominated pianist Andrius Žlabys, and Cipa and Misha Dichter who performed their four-handed piano program in S. Salem for an upcoming Carnegie Hall engagement.
