Old 97s is an alt-country band from Dallas, TX – alternately described as loud folk. They were pioneers for the alt-country sound along with Uncle Tupelo, Drive By Truckers, Whiskeytown and others. Their biggest hit, “Murder (or a Heart Attack” landed on Blender magazine’s Top Songs Since You Were Born list. Rhino Records released an 18-track compilation of their best songs – accompanied by liner notes from Village Voice music critic Robert Christgau.
The Heights at Brother Vic’s is a concert dining experience in South Salem, NY – minutes from New Canaan, Pound Ridge, and Ridgefield, CT. They feature live music from both national and local acts, including popular tribute bands along with original artists.
