Taconic Opera FREE chamber performance in Mt. Kisco: Whimsical Birdsong: Masters of Impression
Featuring piano, violin and vocal, and a world premiere violin sonata
Currently in its 23nd season and past recipient of the ArtsWestchester Arts Organization of the Year Award, Taconic Opera will beshowcasing three exceptionally gifted musicians in a challenging and beautiful concert program, Whimsical Birdsong: Masters of Impression. One performance only on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Mt. Kisco, 605 Millwood Road (Route 133), Mt. Kisco, NY.
The concert features three prominent members of the company: Kessa Mefford, pianist; Olga Dusheina, violinist and Taconic Opera Concertmaster, and lead soprano, Kristina Cook. They will perform violin, piano and vocal works by Ravel (a continuation of the Ravel project from previous seasons) and Fauré, and also debut a new violin sonata by Dan Montez.
Tickets for this concert are FREE and seating is limited to 68 to follow social distancing guidelines. Seats must be requested in advance by calling the company’s toll-free number (855) 886-7372. Audience members are required to wear masks and follow the seating guidelines.
