Taconic Opera Returns with Puccini’s Manon Lescaut!
Taconic Opera, now in its 24th season, will be celebrating the return of fully-orchestrated and staged opera with performances of a Puccini favorite: Manon Lescaut! Before Madame Butterfly and La Bohème, Manon Lescaut put Puccini on the map. This was his first ambitious work that astounded audiences with its beauty and enough melodic material for ten operas! It is the story of a women torn between love and money.
Generous grants were given to Taconic Opera to present this amazing work and upgrade its sets for this production. So don’t miss it.
An event every week that begins at 9:45 am on Sunday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until December 1, 2024
