Theatre at Lyndhurst Mansion: Arthur Miller Classic The Price
M&M Performing Arts Company will present Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Price in the Grand Picture Gallery at Lyndhurst Mansion for three consecutive weekends in March. Called by The New York Times “one of the most engrossing and entertaining plays” that Miller wrote, it examines with compassion and humor the relationship of two estranged brothers who meet after many years to dispose of their family’s belongings.
Victor’s wife Esther (Melinda O’Brien, Yorktown Heights, who also directed the play), his estranged brother Walter (Richard Troiano, Monroe), and second-hand furniture appraiser Gregory Solomon (Bruce Apar, Yorktown Heights) all arrive with their own agendas, forcing Victor to question the true value of his sacrifice. Stage managers are Emmy Schwartz and Nan Weiss (both Briarcliff)
