Trombone Shorty Capitol Theatre: Trombone Shorty tours to promote his new album Parking Lot Symphony that features the song ”Laveau Dirge No. 1,” named after one of New Orleans; most famous voodoo queens. He began his career at the age of four when he performed with Bo Didley and later wound up in Lenny Kravitz’s horn section. His 2010 album Backatown with his band Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue hit No. 1 on the Billboard Jazz charts. And in 2012 he performed at the White House as part of Black History Month. The event featured performances from B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Keb’ Mo’, Mick Jagger, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks and more.
