U2/Bob Marley Tribute @ The Capitol: Ireland meets Jamaica in this evening of tributes at The Cap.Unforgettable Fire, one of the first U2 tribute bands to perform in America, have passed their 20th anniversary. From wardrobe and lighting, to Bono look-a-like Tony Russo, the band recreates the live U2 experience. And they perform U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond,
Bob Marley Tribute ft. Gary Nest Pine
Gary “Nesta” Pine, the former lead singer for the hot 90s Jamaica band City Heat, leads the Bob Marley Tribute. In 1998, Pine became the lead singer for the Wailers.
After his eight years fronting the Wailers, Pine’s career took a surprising twist when he began collaborating with French DJ and Producer Bob Sinclair, who featured Gary on several tracks on his Western Dream album. Their song, the platinum selling “Love Generation,” was a dance floor and international pop hit. It was also the theme for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and the French version of American Idol (“Star Academy”). Revelations has a fantastic new version of this anthem track. Gary also had success with Shaggy on the song “Fly High,” which exposed him to a whole new generation of fans.
