War of the Worlds: A Radio Play: Westchester’s Chill Bucket Productions brings us this virtual production of Orson Wells and Mercury Theatre’s 1938 radio play War of the World, based on the classic novel by H.G. Wells. A performance that has lived in infamy, Wells’ radio play, intended as a Halloween prank, infamously created pandemonium when listeners, who missed the broadcast’s introduction, believed that reporters were live in Grovers Mill, New Jersey witnessing a real alien invasion. Presented virtually October 2nd & 3rd, 2020 via Broadway On Demand streaming – ticket info soon!
Tickets will be available at chillbp.com, as well as the performance itself. For more information, please email chillbucketprod@gmail.com
