Zoom into Beckett’s Endgame from The Schoolhouse Theatre: In it’s first theatrical presentation since the COVID lockdown in March, The Schoolhouse Theatre presents a pop-up ZOOM Reading of Samuel Beckett’s classic play Endgame. This dark tragi-comedy (aren’t they all) from Beckett is set in an apocalyptic end-time with incomparable flashes of the Irish Nobel-winner’s wit – it has a worldwide cult following.
Endgame has never been professionally staged in Westchester County – but this seems like a good time for the Schoolhouse Theater’s Pandemic Players to do so. Some of New York’s finest actors will have a hand in this professional zoom reading: Tim Jerome and Carole Monferdini who squared off so eloquently in Jesse Kornbluth’s masterpiece THE COLOR OF LIGHT, and iconic New York master player Austin Pendleton.
