His HVRW menu features Coq au Vin Pot Pie, Kimchi & Korean Rice Cake Lasagna, and Crispy Semolina Gnocchi with oxtail for entrees. For starters it’s Whipped Ricotta & Honey with Pita, Shrimp & Avocado Ceviche, She Crab Soup, and a Pear Salad. That will get you on our Best HVRW menus list. Valley Restaurant at The Garrison, Garrison: (Dinner: Wed-Sun) They’ve been on our Best Menus before. This time for their Celery Root Soup with delicata squash, pancetta & chives, and Porcini Truffle Pasta for starters. For entrees they offer a Flatiron of Beef, Salmon a la Plancha, and Murray’s Farm Chicken Breast with Kale & white bean stew. Save room for dessert, which features Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding, Pecan Pie Sunday and Red Wine Poached Pears with almond cake and toasted almond ice cream. Eastchester Fish Gourmet, Scarsdale: (Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) If you have never been to this Scarsdale seafood classic, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is a great excuse to try it now. Start with a New England or Manhattan Clam Chowder, Wild Mussells or Oysters with mignonette sauce. For entree, we like the Parmesan Crusted Cod, the Spice Roasted Swordfish and the Linguini with Organic Salmon in a béchamel sauce. And the Pumpkin Bread Pudding with creme anglaise for dessert.
