Hudson Valley Restaurant Week March 21- April 3: One-hundred and four restaurants throughout Westchester and the Hudson Valley will participate in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) that will run from Monday, March 21 through Sunday, April 3. Including fifty-nine in Westchester County.
Foodies know the drill, during HVRW you can get a three course lunch for $29.95 or a three-course dinner for $39.95. Let’s see who’s playing locally.

Armonk: Fortina: (Lunch: Mon-Fri & Dinner: Mon-Sun) Though Food Network star Christian Petroni has reportedly stepped away from Fortina – the Petroni vibe and straight forward Italian menu cooked in a wood-fired oven remains at this popular Armonk Italian. Chappaqua: Crabtree’s Kittle House: (Lunch: Tues-Sun & Dinner: Tues-Fri & Sun) The majestic 25-room Kittle House that dates back to 1790 is a Chappaqua institution (pictured below right) that drew the likes of Henry Fonda and Talulah Bankhead in the golden age of cinema days. Croton Falls: Primavera: (Lunch: Mon-Fri & Dinner: Mon-Sun) After a recent visit we updated our take on this cut above traditional Italian with white linen tablecloths in the landmark Victorian house on Rt. 22. Try the duck ravioli in walnut sauce and the Filet of Sole Francese. Check out their HVRW menu.
Harrison: The Greek-ish: (Lunch & Dinner: Mon-Sun) The maze & ouzo bar rebrand of Award-winning Chef Constantine Kolandranis’s 273 Kitchen offers foodies a little taste of everything at an affordable cost. And the bar program showcases the versatility of ouzo, the popular dry, anise-flavored Greek aperitif.
Mount Kisco: La Camelia (Lunch: Mon-Fri & Sun, Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) Spanish charmer in 18th-century colonial, serving tapas and Iberian specialties received a coveted “Excellent” rating from M.H. Reed of the NYTs. Check out their HVRW menu here.
Yorktown: Peter Pratt’s Inn: (Dinner Wed-Fri & Sun) Chef Jonathan Pratt always puts a modern spin on traditional dishes in this Revolutionary War era colonial home across from the Davenport House – General George Washington’s command post. Barnwood Grill: (Lunch: Mon-Sun & Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) Flying blind on this one but who can argue with the Cheese & Potato Pierogi with scallion, bacon, walnuts, and sage brown butter sauce. Nadine’s (Dinner Mon-Thurs) You don’t have to be German to like Christian Scheinle’s French-German spin-off of his family’s NYC Sel et Poivre which is developing their own foodie cult in the hinterlands of Yorktown Heights. HVRW Menu Chazz Palminteri Italian Restaurant: (Lunch: Mon-Sat, Dinner: Mon-Fri & Sun) Chazz has the whole five families cooking in his White Plains spin-off of his Manhattan Italian. ncluding the Carbonara’s, the Puttanesca’s, the Bolognese’s, the Scallopini’s and the Fra Diavolo’s. Mulino’s of Westchester: (Lunch: Mon-Fri, Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) Award-winning northern Italian in White Plains where the Pesce Spada’s, Costolette D’agnello Scottadito’s, and Mignonette Di Manzo’s come out to play. Crabtree’s Kittle House: (Lunch: Tues-Sun & Dinner: Tues-Fri & Sun) We’re going with the Florida Red Snapper Ceviche and the Slow Roasted Hudson Valley Pork Shank. But this year’s Kittle House menu is flawless featuring Maine Lobster Bisque or Vegan Creamy Asparagus Bisque, Beet Salad, Kittle Kale Salad, and Semolina Gnudi stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan, ricotta, and niçoise olive crumble for APPS. And Branzino, Breast of Goffler Farm Organic Chicken, Cauliflower Romescu and Cavatelli Bolognese with fossil farm pork, hv grass-fed beef for MAINS. I’ll get the Valrhona Double Chocolate Brownie with espresso crème anglaise if you get the Strawberry-Rhubarb Tart with meyer lemon coulis. And we’ll share. Clock Tower Grill, Brewster: (Dinner: Tues-Sat) We are liking this year’s HVRW Menu at Brewster’s in its comfortable skateboard art appointed space at Brewster’s white clock tower center. Featuring Shrimp Toast on brioche with lime; Shrimp & Grits with bacon marmalade, and Sourdough Beef Tar Tar Grilled Cheese APPS. The MAIN Course choices are Shredded Short Rib Pot Pie; Crispy Semolina Gnocchi with farm braised lamb; Hoisin Roast Duck Boa with pickled veggies, and the Seared Tuna with avocado, citrus salad and sticky rice. La Camelia, Mt. Kisco: (Lunch: Mon-Fri & Sun, Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) La Camelia is bringing out the tapas for HVRW Spring ’22, with your choice of 15 popular small plates for APPS. Including, Grilled Portuguese Chouriço, Empanadas Gallegas (veal), and Tostada de Gambas over guacamole. Plus nine MAIN options. The Roasted Duck a la Orange, Lobster Ravioli, Paella (of course) and Bitoque – Black angus strip steak with egg & fries make our short list. With the Caramel Apple Tart Tatin for dessert. Nadine’s, Yorktown Heights: (Dinner Mon-Thurs) This NYC French-German spin off of Sel et Poivre keeps popping up on our friend’s what to eat lists. This year’s HVRW menu features Potato Garlic Leak Soup and Pork Shank over Cous Cous. Another APP/MAIN combo we like is Spätzle with smoked Trout, shallots, peas, carrots in a horseradish cream sauce and Pan seared Codfish in a lemon butter caper sauce with Cauliflower au gratin, and roasted potatoes. Classic German dessert offerings include Warm Apple Strudel, Linzer Tart with banana chocolate chip ice cream, and Black Forest Cake. Eastchester Fish Gourmet: (Dinner: Mon-Thurs & Sun) When we see Blue Point Oysters on an HVRW menu we have to call it out. There’s also white or red clam chowder, a chopped salad and Wild Mussels in a three-herb white wine broth on the APP menu. The MAINS menu includes: Organic Salmon with risotto and spinach in a Meyer lemon butter sauce; Cod with baby carrots, haricot vert, leeks and thyme fumet essence; Shrimp Scampi, and a Pan Roasted Half Chicken au jus. Ship Lantern Inn, Milton: (Dinner: Tues-Sun) Located in a house that dates back to the Revolutionary War, the Ship Lantern Inn has been serving a Hudson Valley award-winning fine dining menu for 98 years. Billing themselves as Contemporary American Continental, this year’s HVRW menu features Catsmo Farm Pastrami Smoked Wild Salmon with House Made Pumpernickel; Braised Short Ribs with butternut squash risotto, and Horseradish filled Bacon Wrapped BBQ Shrimp with Cheddar Grits – and that’s the APPS! There’s Faroe Island Salmon, Bacon & Portobello Wrapped Beef Tenderloin, and HV Roast Free Range Turkey for MAINS. We’re going with the Caradonna Farm Apple Crisp with cinnamon and pecan ice cream, and the Lukan Farm Honey Infused Crème Brûlée for dessert. That’s a serious menu in Milton.
