Seal Spotting & Birding Cruise, Maritime Aquarium, Sun, 3/3, Sat-Sun, 3/16-17, 30-31, 4/13-14 5/4-5: check times: On these 2.5 hour cruises on the Maritime Aquarium’s R/V Spirit of the Sound catamaran, you will seek out the seals that enter the Long Island Sound and graze on rocks near the Norwalk Islands in winter. Aquarium educators discuss seal anatomy and behaviors. The cruise offers photo ops for birders, as well, with winter waterfowl such as buffleheads, merganser, Brant geese and long-tailed ducks.
