Modern Warrior Live, Chappaqua Performing Arts Center, Wed, 10/24: 7:30pm: The Mental Health Association of Westchester presents this musical theatrical production of the story of Staff Sergeant Jaymes Poling, who spent three years in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. The production that traces the path from Poling’s enlistment and deployment to his subsequent struggles with the harrowing memories of war was written by Poling and renowned jazz trumpeter Dominick Farinacci. Local! Westmoreland Sanctuary Fall Fundraiser, Fri, 11/2: 7pm: Bend an elbow to support the Westmoreland Sanctuary at Westmoreland’s 200-year old church that serves as their nature museum. Westmoreland Sanctuary’s core conservation focus is restoring native plants to our community and forest. Local! 4th Annual Chappaqua Cares Empty Bowls, Crabtree’s Kittle House, Sun, 11/18: 5-8pm: This event from Chappaqua Cares is a benefit to help raise awareness and funds to combat hunger. Each year they auction off bowls created by local students and celebrities.
