Katonah Museum of Art, 134 Jay St., Katonah • OnSite Katonah presents eight experimental, site-specific installations that reimagine every facet of the KMA: its galleries, sculpture garden and lawns. Victoria Fu: Egg: This LA artist employs analog and digital techniques to explore the impact of virtual aesthetics on the everyday human experience. Million Dollar Quartet – Westchester Broadway Theatre: The smash hit musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session in Memphis that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Featuring a score of rock hits including “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Fever”, “That’s All Right”, “Great Balls Of Fire”, “Walk The Line”, “Whole Lot Of Shakin’ Goin’ On”, “Hound Dog” and much more. Afternoon & Sunset Sails on the Schooner Soundwaters: Board the 80’ Tall Ship Soundwaters, the ship that Pete Seeger made famous, for a two-hour journey on the Long Island Sound. The Schooner Soundwaters sails from Boccuzzi Park in Stamford on Saturdays at 3-5pm and Sundays from 2-4pm from June 25 to September 25. Soundwaters also sets sail for the sunset on a varied schedule from Thursday to Sunday, June 23-September 25. Check dates & times. Pride of the Hudson River Cruise: See the majestic beauty of the Hudson River on this narrated river adventure that begins in Newburgh and travels down to West Point taking in the sights of Washington’s Headquarters, World’s End, Mt. Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival – Boscobel: With its breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Boscobel provides the perfect setting for the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s summer season. For more than 25 years, the Festival has been the only resident Shakespeare Company in the Hudson Valley. This year they will present Shakespeare’s As You Like It, Measure for Measure and Macbeth. There will also be three performances of So Please You, a family-friendly comedy that tells the tale of Denis, a servant in As You Like It. Zachary Fine, who conceived this HVSF describes it as a “tragical-comical, comical-tragical” rich in the art of clowning and drawing on text from many Shakespeare plays. Local! Caramoor@KMA: Bring a picnic and sample Caramoor curated acts on Wednesday nights in the Katonah Museum of Art’s sculpture garden. Ethos Percussion Group: America’s premier percussion quartet performs a potpourri of musical genres from Western chamber music, including the works of John Cage, Steve Reich and Philip Glass, to the rhythms of Guinea and Calcutta. Twelfth Night in Chappaqua and at Westmoreland Sanctuary: The Lawn Chair Theatre brings their 2016 Summer Shakespeare production to Chappaqua’s Recreation Field on Fri, 8/5: 6pm and to Westmoreland Sanctuary in Mt. Kisco on Fri, 8/12: 6pm. This year’s production will be Shakespeare’s RomCom of gender confusion, Twelfth Night, set in San Francisco circa 1967 – complete with all sorts of hippies, freaks and rock ‘n’ roll. Absolutely Fabulous – Jacob Burns: Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone Stone (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) reprise their roles from the BBC cult comedy, Absolutely Fabulous aka Ab Fab!) in this full length comedy. A Star Studded Evening to Benefit The Bedford Playhouse: The Bedford Playhouse will host a star studded evening with performances by local performers including Glenn Close, Paul Shaffer, Chevy Chase, Robert Klein, Chazz Palminteri, and Jeffrey Tambor.
